20 year old female 7 months post submuscular breast augmentation with circumareolar lift using extra full 580cc implants.
This patient lost over 100lbs and was missing the fullness of her breasts since losing the weight. She is now thrilled with her perky breasts and full cleavage!
Patient #
2 stage breast augmentation (good educational post, Dr. Barnett does a lot of these 2 stage augmentations)
The 2 stage breast augmentation separates the surgery into 2 surgeries (breast reduction, then breast augmentation.) 2 stage breast augmentation are ideal for women with excess breast tissue, skin laxity or significant asymmetery all wanting to achieve upper pole fullness (cleaveage) and more perky breasts that you can only achieve with an implant.
1st surgery – breast reduction to remove as much tissue as safely possible (tissue that you would not be able to remove with just a lift at the time of augmentation) to reduce the chance of a “snoopy deformity” which causes excess tissue to hang off the implant over time, causing the breasts to look saggy.
2nd surgery – least 8 weeks later a breast augmentation can be performed. The reduction of the excess tissue, the new shape of the breasts, and sdcar tissue formation help create the opportunity for the perfect, balanced, and perky breasts using an implant.
This is a 41 year old patient 2 months post 2nd stage augmentation using full profile 520cc implants
